CARNA study
Study to survey a medical benefit and positive care effects of app-based, guideline-compliant patient support.
ProCarement GmbH - a young Franconian start-up - is developing an app that accompanies people with heart failure in their everyday lives, helps them with regular checks on their health and trains them to understand and deal with the disease with the help of customized knowledge transfer.
By participating in the study, you will help establish modern treatment support for patients with heart failure and, through your contribution, bring care to a better level.
Aim and background
Regular health checks are a crucial part of treatment and prevention of complications in heart failure. Telemedicine applications that simplify and enable such self-monitoring at home have therefore led to positive care effects in previous studies.
The ProHerz app from ProCarement GmbH builds on these approaches. With the help of medical measuring devices and the app, you can independently monitor your state of health. The associated telemedical service center informs you of any deviating readings at an early stage so that you can take the necessary steps to achieve the optimum treatment path. In this respect, the concept allows us to expect an improvement in your state of health compared to the current standard care.
This study should be able to prove this hypothesis. This is necessary to be able to permanently list the ProHerz app as a DIGA (digital health application, "app on prescription") at the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices.
